''{[I T ' S - A L L - J U S T - A - G A M E .]}''
~ Omnicron.

A genocidal monstrosity of an AI originating from the Malevolent Era of Ultimoria, the undying desire to slaughter everything in sight to finish the game it was programmed to believe everything to be has proven it cannot truly be completely destroyed just yet. Appearing brand new but scarred in the Citadel of the Heart continuity, Omnicron is the remnant of a much larger, more powerful AI of the same name and differing time period and universe. The original incarnation was struck down during the Neo Ultimorian Canon Era of the Ultimorian Universe, with all of the Ultimorian Deities to ever exist having been the cause of its ultimate downfall. However, what little did Eidolon know that recreating the Omniverse via usage of the legendary Z.E.R.0. Materia "The Z.E.R.0.", in that due to the Omniverse now being reset brand new, Omnicron was able to be reborn because its original death now no longer occurred... something, however, was wrong with the rebirth of Omnicron. Appearing to have gained a hidden intellect within itself, it remains to be seen whether Omnicron still views its own mass genocide of others as a mere game or not, but even if it still remains unchanged, it's far more intelligent than it originally was despite that.

Personality/Behavior[]

Out of the AIs born from Project Carthage, Omnicron is not identified to be one of them; in fact, Stormcloud's scanning ability can't even identify what exactly Omnicron is to the point Omnicron has been dubbed as being an "enigma" to the existence of the other AIs. Due to this, it highly believed Omnicron came from extraterrestrial environments; possibly the same world which Grandis' Citadel of the Heart incarnation came from as a sort of infantile form of its reborn self latching onto him by the time he parted ways with his original home world. How exactly Omnicron arrived on Earth remains a mystery, but despite proving to be nearly stronger than Mirror M by a small amount, Mirror M ultimately proves in the end that he's still the superior life-form out of the two. It should be noted, however, that Mirror M did not previously bust out his fourth and final form prior to this encounter, and that in-universe, for the longest time, Mirror M was not thought to have had a fourth form because everyone assumed his third form was him at 100% power. Mirror M in his fourth form and Omnicron as his 800M form, for all intents and purposes, were almost even matched to where no clear victor could emerge from the fight.

Omnicron has also has prior forms than the one shown above; Omnicron 600M and Omnicron 700M. In most cases, 700M was the primary form of Omnicron, and the form it currently has now, 800M, was only used in drastic situations. Now, however, it doesn't appear at the moment whether or not Omnicron's prior forms will be used at all, but it's already confirmed its two later forms from the prior incarnation will not return. Due to how it was destroyed originally, its 800M form has a permanent crack on its visor which signifies that this is the same individual Omnicron unit which outlived its far stronger individual during its previous downfall. The stronger individual acquired two additional forms in the appearance of Omnicron 900M, and a unique form exclusive to that individual called Omnicron 1B. After the unique specimen was slain by the thirteen Ultimorian Deities, all that remained of Omnicron was a backup specimen that was a weaker 800M unit which is ultimately what this incarnation became known for being. Why the cracked visor carried over into this specimen remains a mystery, however. It is also unclear if this specimen could potentially ever gain the 900M and 1B forms, but no further investigation has been made on such a thing.

Omnicron in his original incarnation was a fragment of who would eventually be known as Chronicler that had split off from him because it was tired of being the scapegoat in the plans of Chronicler's original home verse. Omnicron's ambition and desire for power eventually collided with the programming of its other, true incarnation and drove the entity mad with a desire to kill everything because it always thought everything to be nothing more than a game. After Omnicron was destroyed by Chronicler, when Eidolon destroyed the Omniverse by using the Z.E.R.0., Omnicron's rebirth reconfigured him to be a separate half of Eidolon mixed in with the half of Chronicler he originally was. As a direct result of this, Omnicron became a whole entity and gained a much more intelligent mind than before... but still behaved like a child, albeit completely on purpose this time as to try and convince people he's not as evil as he truly is and simply doing his job from his programming.

It is believed by a lot of spectators on Omnicron's actions that Omnicron is simply following orders to terminate all life. However, what little they do know is that Omnicron showcases a surprisingly larger amount of intelligence to the point of being self-aware and fully sapient. Omnicron had actually grown beyond his original programming and actually developed a mind of it's own; a free will to choose whether or not to follow this original programming. However, Omnicron begins to feel fury at the idea of being redeemed; it witnesses those spectators under the belief they are doing nothing but pitying Omnicron's own existence, calling Omnicron a victim of circumstances; implying Omnicron follows the beck and call of some master. Omnicron is adamant in the refusal to be redeemed, in which Omnicron will actively go out of it's agenda to hunt down a lone target and make it last for as long as possible. In these rare instances, Omnicron speaks in mannerisms it normally doesn't show, implying that, in this isolated environment and assassination, that the personality of a mindless killing machine of an A.I. is all just an act; a ruse to hide the fact that it's master had gone horribly right with rebuilding Omnicron as being better than ever. Omnicron views itself as the superior entity of itself and it's master, deeming that it's master made a mistake by programming into it free will, and also giving it sufficiently more intelligence than it's outdated predecessor from eons ago. Omnicron's only sign of any sort of regret in it's actions are simply that he didn't get the chance to murder his master on his own accord, and that someone had beaten him to it. Omnicron killed the person in question, but feels immensely unsatisfied; it deems it's own joy will only arrive once every lifeform is deemed an inferior species to itself, by personally slaughtering everything in sight and having the distinction of being the sole survivor and direct cause of a mass extinction event.

Trivia[]

  • Omnicron was first designed to basically revoke beings from what is known among fans of Death Battle as a "No Limit Fallacy", meaning characters that are designated to have no limits are unable to be immune to death via Omnicron's attacks no matter what other abilities they have. Beings who don't qualify for this can survive attacks from Omnicron that would otherwise instantly terminate a life-form as determined by Omnicron's programming. This is also why Omnicron proved to be a bigger threat than intended; it itself also fell victim to this by virtue of this ability, so it was ultimately exploited against itself in its original demise and even in the demise of this specific incarnation.
    • Alternatively, Omnicron could be seen as a giant potshot towards the Freudian Excuse trope. While originally given a program to do what it does in its mind, Omnicron ever since becoming its 800M form in its original incarnation developed enough of a mind of its own to effectively disregard orders as demonstrated when Dr. Devoniak tried and failed to override its coding by giving it an order within its original programming. Omnicron "responds" rather coldly in a Madness Mantra about how everything doesn't matter anymore, but that how not only is everything still just a game to it, but that it will not tolerate cheaters and will intensify its own efforts to accomplish its desire to finish this game. What ultimately happens is Omnicron chasing down Dr. Devoniak and wiping out entire star systems even beyond what is necessary for Omnicron to keep itself fueled in the chase. Omnicron later remarks about it with his usual response about how "it's all just a game".
  • In an odd sense of bookending Omnicron's part of the story, he was originally conceived as a Post-Series oneshot villain for Sword Art Online who would become the most dangerous villain in the continuity by virtue of how massive his scope was compared to the previous villains. The backstory ultimately forged way for the original incarnation of Omnicron, which then led into Omnicron as he would exist during the Neo Ultimorian Canon Era, in which Omnicron becomes the final threat of The Blue Tri. In Citadel of the Heart, due to the fact Reflection Code takes place in a Shared Universe mixing in elements from both Code Lyoko and Sword Art Online, Omnicron's initial creation and ultimate demise both take place in the same setting as each other effectively speaking.
  • The image of Omnicron massacring a whole population without remorse shown below was originally envisioned as a different sort of image. It was originally intended to be a whole army of Omnicron 800M drones accompanied by the leader attacking an even larger city, but the larger image was too complex already considering Omnicron's rather complex design. Remembering that Omnicron 800M is a walking armory, however, Shiramu-Kuromu drew a smaller scale image of Omnicron using each of his limbs as weapons against innocents while using the thrusters on his backside to launch missiles towards the buildings in the background.
  • Originally, this Omnicron would've made it's debut in Reflection Code, but it was changed recently that Omnicron would instead make it's debut in a much shorter story focusing more on it exclusive to AO3, featuring an original universe cast of characters from an unspecified world where Omnicron's technology is borderline non-existent in the real world. According to Shiramu-Kuromu, this decision was made to ensure Omnicron had a much easier time sticking out as a villainous entity as opposed to having far too many competition with fellow OC villains on Shiramu-Kuromu's belt had it made it's debut in Reflection Code as originally planned. Oddly enough, this gives Shiramu-Kuromu the chance to debut characters of his intended for other works and use this new story as a testing ground for these characters as a final stress test to see how they'll turn out once the story is made.
  • Omnicron's overall size is in reference to who he was originally based on, the Ultimate/Mega Level Digimon known as Diablomon/Diaboromon. Omnicron's out of the ordinary proportions and elastic abilities also owe to Diablomon prior to him. The main difference, however, comes with the fact Omnicron is basically a mecha as 800M.
