Imhotep, also known as the Mummy, is a minor villain in the Character What franchise, and the titular main antagonist from the 1999 remake film of the original 1953 film The Mummy. He is a member of The Forces of Evil and arch-nemesis of Rick O'Connell.
Character What: The Adventures[]
Imhotep makes his first appearance in Pirates of the Caribbean. However, he only appears in opening of the episode when he holds Rick O'Connell by the throat and intent to kill him. Before he could drain Rick's life energy, Evelyn Carnahan reads the inscription in the Golden Book of Amun-Ra to summon the god Anubis, who stripped away Imhotep's immortally, causing him to be enraged of losing his eternal life, and stepped forward to kill O'Connell. But O'Connell impale Imhotep with a sword (though not directly shown due to censorship reasons, which Shadow Joe covers Twilight Sparkle's eyes) and was mortally wounded. Imhotep stepped into a black pool of deceased souls and sink into it. His last words were "Death is only the beginning".
Character What; Hero Force[]
In Multiple Kevin, it is revealed that Imhotep was revived by Shadow Aaron off-screen, he show no sign of fear in the presence of Shadow Aaron.
Character What: Chronicles[]
In Fawn in the Empire, Imhotep was seen with the other villains who had attended Shadow Aaron's villain meeting in a theater.
Character What: Villains Revenge[]
n The Return: Part 2,Imhotep was first seen among the villains that Shadow Aaron gabbed around to explain his plan to invade Shadow Joe's base and take every hero by force in it, he was shown telekinetically throwing two Clone Troopers during the fight. Though not seen, it assumed that Imhotep escaped with some of the villains when they were overwhelmed by the heroes in Shadow Joe's base.
In Take Them Down, Ursula was among the villains participating in Shadow Aaron's plan to ambush Shadow Joe and captured the Piplings, so Shadow Aaron destroy them as revenge for his demise in The End of Shadow Aaron. Later, Imhotep participates in fight against Shadow Joe and his allies, but was defeated during the course of the battle.
Character What: Friendship is Magic[]
In Victorious, Imhotep was among the villains partaking in Shadow Aaron's plan to occupy Shadow Joe's kingdom. However, Imhotep and the other villains were overwhelmed by Shadow Joe's hero army. After the battle was finished, he retreat with the following villains.
Character What: The Last Stand[]
In Mummy at the Museum, following the Army of Anubis being banished to the Underworld for good, Imhotep steals Ahkmenra's Tablet from the British Natural History Museum so he can summon a army of Horus Soldiers to conquer the world, which is similar to Kahmunrah. Imhotep successfully used the tablet to summoned the Horus Warriors from the underworld, but Shadow Joe brought the Iron Giant to scare the Horus Solders back into the underworld. Like Kahmunrah, Imhotep was enraged with his failure, so he orders his cults to attack Shadow Joe. However, Twilight Sparkle brought the Medjai to fight against the entire Cult of Imhotep. Refusing to surrender, Imhotep engage one last fight with Shadow Joe in hand to-hand combat. During the fight, Shadow Joe reopen the Gates of the Underworld, and throws Imhotep into it, never to be seen again. Thus, ending his threat for good.
Powers and Abilities[]
After being resurrected as a mummy and suffer the curse of Hom Dai, Imhotep possesses magical powers of the gods of ancient Egypt.
- Immortality: Imhotep is essentiality immortal, as he cannot be killed by weapons which usually kill mortals.
- Invulnerability: Imhotep is virtually invulnerable, as he cannot harmed by modern weapons, such as guns and swords. However, gunshots can stun him temporally, but he simply cannot be killed.
- Self-Sustenance: Due to his undead state, Imhotep didn't need to eat or drink to survive.
- Telekinesis: Imhotep can telekinetically lift people into the air and throw them several feet away.
- Aquakinesis: Imhotep can manipulate water by creating tsunami waves.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Imhotep can recover from any physical injuries. However, he must first those who open the Book of the Dead by draining their organs and fluids in order to regenerate himself.
- Chaos Manipulation:
- Apocalypse Inducement: As the Hom Dai curse that come with him upon being resurrected, the mere presence of Imhotep makes him a walking plague upon mankind upon gaining power over the Ten Plagues of Egypt.
Trivia[]
- For censorship reasons, Imhotep was not seen in his undead mummy form throughout the series because it would be too scary for younger viewers, Imhotep dying the same way like in his respective film was altered to make it less dark and grim, such as O'Connell stabbing him with a sword is not seen but only Imhotep's reaction of being stabbed was shown, unlike in the film, Imhotep's regenerated flesh remain intact when sinking into the pool of souls and didn't return to his undead form.
- Unlike in the films, Imhotep had never spoken English throughout the his appearances in the series.
- Imhotep along with Ursula, Rasputin, Mojo Jojo, HIM, Vilgax, Maleficent, and General Grievous are the only villains to physically appear in all 12 iterations of the Character What franchise. However, Ultimate Hero, New Adventures and The Last Stand are the only iterations when Imhotep had a major role.
