Colonel Gax is the secondary antagonist during the second season of Star Wars: The Empire of Light. He is a ruthless and agressive Imperial commander who works for The Nebu.

History[]

Destroying the planet of Manchello[]

Gax and Cornaby Von Kludd commanded a massive and careful attack on Manchello, as The Nebu himself was going to first get his former mentor, Joann-Ying killed. Gax flew a star destroyer ship to Manchello, and after him, came dozens of other star destroyer ships. The Nebu entered Joann's temple and killed Joann during a battle, while Gax was still safe in his ship. The Nebu entered his shi, and ordered the colonel to destroy the planet of Manchello. Gax gave the order to all ships around the planet, and within seconds, Manchello crumbled to pieces. As Gax has returned to The Death Star, he discussed with Tarkin about his weapon being constructed on the Imperial base of Tamala. He explained that his weapon has the ability to send a powerful missile which tracks down any ship around the base. Tarkin agreed for him to use it, and even ordered him to expand the weapon after it's tested properly.

The battle on Tamala[]

Colonel Gax later tested his weapon on a passing Rebel ship, which Jazul used to spy on the base. Jazul managed to hack into the weapon and send it's data to Cerano. However, the weapon destroyed him completely and blew up his ship. Gax was present in a meeting with Admiral Kainot and The Nebu. Gax presented his weapon on one of the nearby moons, and destroyed The Marpians on the moon Marp, which contains life. The Nebu later informed Gax and Kainot that Cerano and The Rebels are invading the base, with a purpose to destroy the weapon. Kainot and his squadron used TIE fighters to hunt Cerano and his team. However, instead, they started attacking the base, and Gax received a message from Kainot's hologram, as Kainot tells him that he will no longer be his slave or anyone's weak buddy. Gax reports so to Tarkin. Gax later witnesses as The Nebu betrays Kainot, and kills him by sticking his lightsaber into Kainot's chest. Gax later tries to fire the weapon at Cerano who escapes in his vehicle. Cerano however manages to shoot the weapon. Therefore, Gax and The Nebu escape the planet, and the entire base collapses. Gax gets slapped by Tarkin, who tells him that from now on Vader will be leading the operation.

Later, Gax (followed by Stormtroopers) interrogates and then imprisons Tarkin and Vader. He then declares himself as the commander of The Death Star. Gax and The Nebu then look out of the office's window, as The Nebu tells Gax that it is time to finish their job.

Death[]

Gax is ordered by The Nebu to fire The Death Star's cannon at Cerano's ship. He tries to shoot Cerano's starcraft, but he misses it. The Nebu then leaves Gax, and orders him to watch that no more rebels survive. Gax fires The Death Star at the ship of the rebel Captain Jestu. Captain Jestu dies, and therefore, the rebels are forced to retreat and bury him. Thinking that he won the entire war, he is confronted by Tarkin, who stabs him with a blade and briefly asks him who is in command now. Gax falls on the floor and dies.
