You Seem Acquainted With Those Doors
Cooper was the first security guard of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He was a brilliant man who was working at the pizzeria to support his college education. One day, he overheard his boss pondering on what to do to to compete with the likes of Chuck-E Cheeses. He offered to build mobile animatronics for him in return for a little extra money for the rest of his college career, and his boss obliged. Cooper then started to build the animatronics that night. He finished building the endoskeletons, and he then went home. When he returned to the pizzeria the next day, he discovered to his horror that the animatronics had been tampered with. He realized that it was the same five children from earlier that did it and he snapped. He then realized that the animatronics only needed new arms and legs, and he then decided to don on a Golden Freddy costume, and he used that costume to lure the five children away. He then used a butcher knife to murder the children, and he then used their arms and legs to finish construction on the animatronics. His boss came to the pizzeria later on to see the animatronics, and he was impressed. He then kept his part of the deal, and Charles was able to finish his first semester.
Charles would've gotten away with the murder of the five children had it not have been for the Bite of '87, and he was soon promptly arrested. Throughout his trial, he attempted to convince the jury members that he committed the crime for education, and he was eventually found guilty. He was sentenced to die by the electric chair.
Since Cooper was the only one who knew how to turn on the animatronics, the Fazbear Company never turn the animatronics off due to their fear of them never being able to work again.
