AWOL was once a loyal Omniversal Warrior and helped to save numerous realities from the threat of Abyss and its numerous enforcers - yet in a cruel twist of fate she would find herself separated from her team-mates during a particularly brutal battle and would resurface many years later embittered and believing that the Omniversal Warriors left her to die, thus she now seeks out the destruction of the organization and its ideals as an inter-universal terrorist.

History

Maria Prince was born to a fairly "average" reality and lived as a base-line human until her meta-human abilities surfaced in her teens, this would cause her to be "recruited" by the Omniversal Council and brought into the ranks of their Omniversal Warriors.

Renamed Agent LX she would become part of a small crew of similar individuals, during an early mission she obtain a personal power-suit and grew to love it, this also made her greatly valued among her team as she quickly became a walking fortress and tank; this made her bond quickly with her crew and she genuinely saw them as a family.

Then one fateful day she and her team would engage in a particularly brutal battle that took a heavy toll on her physically and mentally, during this battle she would find her suit deactivated and she was bombarded by heavy fire, which buried her deep in wreckage.

Due to the chaos of the battle her team-mates were unable to retrieve her and she was presumed dead as they were forced to evacuate the area.

Laying amidst the wreckage Agent LX would hallucinate, sensing a dark spectral figure that "spoke" to her as she continued to lay trapped for several days, surrounded by nothing but the darkness and her own thoughts.

By the time she finally managed to break herself free she was a changed woman, Agent LX had in many ways died in that wreckage and was replaced by AWOL, she would spend several months rebuilding her mecha-suit and diving deeper into madness.

Upon leaving that war-torn reality AWOL would proceed to track down her former crew and slaughtered them all, not giving them a chance to explain, after which she would jump from world to world as a "terrorist-for-hire", offering her assistance to any that would allow her to cause chaos or destruction, when not working for others she would also go on her own personal rampages, having abandoned any previous reason in favor of a new life of ultra-violence.

Personality

"I've been to countless realities and I can tell you it's the same crap in every world; the continual battle of the strong versus the weak, everyone just fighting over things and half the time they don't even know what they are fighting for.. I know what I fight for.. I fight to kill.. I kill because I like killing and I'm so sick of pretending that's a bad thing"

AWOL suffers from deep trauma and has devoted herself to violence and murder; she believes that the Omniverse is inherently broken and people should simply learn to embrace their "true" nature, which she thinks of as a continual state of fighting for survival and destruction for the sake of destruction.

This is not to say AWOL was always this way, indeed as an Omniversal Warrior she was described as an empathic, trusting and deeply loyal member of her crew who valued her friends and while always wary of the Council held to hope that they could make the system work (or break free of it and form their own).

After her crew left her for dead AWOL lost her previous self and became the being she is today, she claims that since that day she has never dreamed and instead sees only darkness when she closes her eyes (a common theme in those who have become corrupted by the Abyss).

Powers

• Ultra-Tech (AWOL has technology far beyond that of even the most advanced military nations and can amass the same firepower as stellar empires if necessary - such as her personal mecha-suit, which has sufficient strength to take on an entire regiment of Omniversal Warriors at once.)
• Omni-Lock (as a former Omniversal Warrior AWOL has the ability to exist in multiple realities at once and can cheat death via "quantum immortality" - a process by which she will be reborn in a random reality upon her death in another, retaining her past memories and appearance : she also has limited resistance to reality-warps and temporal alterations as a result of existing out of normal space/time.)
